Leaving Berlin

Leaving. We would like to thank all our friends who helped us, such a long trip is not an easy thing to organize. See you all soon!

Apparently BER is operational undercover at Tegel

Preparing for a long trip

We've decided to travel 3 months in Asia and New Zealand, so we started preparations. Making a route seemed to be harder than we'd thought. We tried to find good priced flight tickets and decent waiting times between flights, but for such a trip it was too much for us. So we've decided to ask a travel agency (Reisebüro) and in the end it turned out quite well. We paid a bit more than 2000€ for flights to Bangkok, Saigon, Taipei, Auckland and back to Berlin. So now, the route is set.

We heard that we needed vaccines, so we headed to Institut für Tropenmedizin und Internationale Gesundheit, close to Westhafen, Börlin. A colleague advised me to go early or be prepared to wait 3h, so we went there before 8:00, and we were number 2 in the waiting line. Now we have to repeat this operation about 3-4 times, once a week.

10.11.2017 Hepatitis A&B
After the first one, late in the afternoon, I felt tired and stayed in bed. The sensation was like on drugs, the legs were soft and hard to control, and I felt very sleepy.

17.11.2017 Japanese encephalitis and Rabies (Tollwut)
Nothing to note about the second vaccination. We didn't feel so tired as first time, the pain in the shoulder stayed longer though, about 3 days.

15.12.2017 The rest.
Don't forget to go in October 2018 to complete the Hepatitis vaccination!

Making the plan for Thailand. The first 2 days we'll stay in Bangkok in some Airbnb apartment at 17th floor. Then we should take the bus to Koh Chang. After this we should go to a retreat for about... let's see how long we can do this. I hope I can find some Thai boxing training.
