Koh Chang

We woke up early because the bus is at 9 and it’s rush hour. This time we cought a taxi that was passing by and despite 5 mins “Stau”, we arrived shortly after 8 at Ekkamai bus station. I grab some breakfast from a woman cooking out there, Louise from 7-11.
The bus showed up before 9, and we hop in. It’s a “Government bus”. It had a “flight attendant” who gave us some weird snack and water.
After a round on some high roads we made a short stop at BKK, and the we hit the road. The maximum speed of the bus seems to be 80kmh. The landscape is common, we saw a nuclear plant and many small businesses along the road, then I fell asleep. There was plenty room for the legs.
After a short break in Chanthaburi and 6h of driving, we arrived a the ferry pier. For 80 baht/person we crossed to the island, we didn’t even wait 30 mins. The ferries seem to go quite often, or was it because of the bus that had just arrived?
Once landed, we found a taxi, again 80baht/person for us, but the price is different for every destination. I think the maximum was to Lonely Beach, 100baht.
Before we checked in, we cool down with local beer, 80baht from the shop. I wouldn’t call it cheap, but it does the job.

Soon we got our bungalow at Jungle View. I think it was very cheap, almost any being could come in through the numerous holes and spaces in the walls. The door didn't close from the inside, but there was a Baldachin over the bed, so we felt safe from unwanted little visitors.
Jungle View was a very nice place otherwise, the other bungalows were made of wood and look more solid, have even a fridge. The restaurant looked nice, we had to take our shoes off when we stepped in. The owners were super helpful and I got a beautiful introduction to this world. One was from Belgium and the other from Switzerland.

We had dinner here and then we went for a walk. It didn't look like the high season, looked mostly like a developing resort. But we haven’t seen everything.
